The Spain squad has won, but disappointed soccer fans with the Spanish style of soccer not returning to its 2012-2013 form. Look for Spain to be upset in the semi-finals or the finals.
The U.S.A. has dominated so far, but can they take their team to Brazil under the spotlights and still perform? Kliensmann has developed the U.S.A. team to a talented team with tons of potential which is a hard job considering what former coach, Bob Bradley left him. Now we look and see stars all over the pitch in, Landon Donovan, Jozy Altidore, Clint Dempsey, Terrence Boyd, and Carlos Bocanegra. Striker Agudelo and defender Timothy Chandler are impressing so far.
Brazil hosted a spectacular qualifying tournament and impressed everyone by upsetting Lionel Messi's Argentina. Neymar Jr., Fred, and David Luiz all were major parts in Brazil dominating. Brazil is a very talented team that will shine brightly on their home turf.
Top Teams
1. Germany
Germany seems to be underrated by a lot of people. They have placed 3rd in the World Cup for the past few years. Joachim Löw's suqad has gained new talent and improved over the course of many years.
2. Spain
Even though Spain hasn't looked in form so far, they are still a very talented squad which leads to them being ranked so high.
3. Brazil
The combination of Neyma, Hulk, Fred, and Oscar on offense and David Luiz, Marcelo, Dante, and Julio Cesar on defense will propel the Brazilians closer to the cup, but they won't be able to reel in the semi-final win.
4. Netherlands
The Netherlands made it to the finals four years ago (The last world cup), but played terribly at the European cup 1-2 years later. Arjen Robben, Robin Van Persie, and Wesley Sneijder have all improved immensely. Huntelaar, the Netherlands starting striker in the European cup, has played disappointingly so far this season in the Bundesliga not to mention his disgusting European cup performance.
5. Portugal
Lots of people probably think Italy should belong here. Well, Cristiano Ronaldo's dominant play has been more dominant of late. He and Nani will team up to will be the most formidable attacking duo that the international stage has to offer. However, Italy's Ballotelli and Andre Pirlo make them a close sixth place.
